ABOUT SARA: Sara Christensen has started and ran five businesses over the past 20+ years. Her largest was doing $10 million in revenue per year and employed 75 people before she sold it. Before devoting herself full-time to her own businesses, Sara worked as the Head of Marketing and Business Development for several high-tech companies. She has a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. Sara is currently obsessed with helping other business owners grow their companies through her latest venture: Kickass Masterminds. When she’s not connecting awesome entrepreneurs to each other, she can be found sipping bourbon or singing along with Fleetwood Mac.

HERE’S WHAT SARA HAD TO SAY ABOUT THE MASTERMIND EXPERIENCE + PROGRESS SINCE BEING IN THE HOT SEAT:
“They’ve given me awesome feedback and suggestions in the past, so it was really great to get their input on this particular topic.
Since I’ve been in the hot seat we’ve really made the shift internally That’s something that’s been happening over the past couple of months. But in the last couple of weeks, we’ve gotten really clear on what our sales strategies are, our funnels, our customer journey of the different audiences that we’re serving. We’ve made changes both with our channel partners and with the direct groups that we’re creating.
We’ve updated the website and it now it has those specific customer journeys. So if someone is an entrepreneur that wants to directly join a mastermind group, we have a journey for that. If someone’s a potential channel partner, we have a journey for that. It’s super clear now. I feel really good about that because it’s crisp. It’s a direct representation of what we’re doing in our business right now. And anyone that visits our website will get that clarity.
We did the same kind of thing with our social media channels. We’ve made that shift and expanded to accommodate the channel-partner portion of our business. So we have that handled.
The one social media channel that we have not handled yet is LinkedIn. And that’s because that just hasn’t been a priority in the past. But I know it needs to be a priority right now because that’s where we can identify potential channel partners and start a relationship with them. So that’s one thing that I’m still working on. We’re going to hire someone to manage our LinkedIn. They will work with me to use LinkedIn as one of the ways that we get to know new potential partners.
