ON THIS EPISODE’S MASTERMIND HOT SEAT: KYRSTEN SHERWOOD

ABOUT KYRSTEN: Kyrsten Sherwood is full-time entrepreneurs and digital nomad who travels around the United States (currently settled in Scottsdale, AZ) with her 3 (going on 4!) kids under the age of 5. She owns Copper Kettle Co (a Fixer Upper-inspired full business makeover boutique) and the Launch Brand Grow Community (an education- and accountability-focused community for creatives and infopreneurs). Kyrsten is a serial hobbyist and serial entrepreneur who is constantly changing paths (hence the digital nomadism!) and specializes in business growth, development, and design.

KYRSTEN’S MASTERMIND HOT SEAT TOPIC: What’s the best way to monetize my existing audience?

IT’S IMPORTANT TO KYRSTEN BECAUSE: Currently, I’m unmotivated to be particularly present in the community because of our financial needs. We’ll be moving back toward some 1:1 services that will take up more of my time and I need the community to be as low maintenance as possible, while also still providing lots of value for our members.

HERE’S WHAT KYRSTEN HAD TO SAY ABOUT THE MASTERMIND EXPERIENCE + PROGRESS SINCE BEING IN THE HOT SEAT:

“I’m excited to talk a little bit about our Mastermind experience. I really enjoyed being in the hot seat Mastermind experience.

The progress that I’ve made so far since our hot seat was basically we’re pretty much completely redoing our community. Instead of having a monthly fee which I had struggled with during our hot seat, we’re now doing a one-time fee which I feel a little bit better about. It’s not a huge investment, it’s only $599 and the community is going to be a lot more cooperative and a lot more of a coop feel.

So we’ll have a huge database of courses that everybody will donate to each other. By donating a course of your own, you also get access to all of these other courses that other people have made and are actually paid courses. So you can either do that by joining with the $599 fee or by donating your own course and getting lifetime access to the membership community.

The other thing is that all of our memberships will be just lifetime access. We’re not going to do a monthly thing anymore.

I’m also excited to reach out to sponsors and to affiliates the way that we talked about in the hot seat.

Lastly, I’m really excited about having it be more of a coop. We’re going to have different leaders each month.

Part of my trouble when I was in the hot seat was trying to figure out how to either monetize and or save time myself so being able to have different leaders each month as opposed to just having me be the leader is going to take a lot of time off of my plate. Yet also still boost up everybody else in the membership community which is my biggest passion in that regard.

Otherwise, that is pretty much what we are working on. I’m really excited to continue that.”
