HERE’S WHAT EMILY HAD TO SAY ABOUT THE MASTERMIND EXPERIENCE + PROGRESS SINCE BEING IN THE HOT SEAT:
“I didn’t really know what to expect because I had never met any of the people before. But once we were there, it was so wonderful. They all come from different backgrounds, different experience, which was amazing because there was a lot of ideas and a lot of brainstorming. It’s nice to tell people who really don’t have all that background about your business to come together and they can just share their ideas and brainstorm in it. It was really great.”
“Afterward, I listened to the episode a couple of times, wrote down a bunch of notes, a big long to-do list based on everyone’s ideas and thoughts. The first thing I did was create a speaker packet, which created some social media posts, newsletter copy, a referral code for each of my speakers, and some photos that they can share. Really, just trying to make it as easy as possible for the speakers to share with their audience about my event. Then I also started creating an influencer list of people who I want to attend for free in exchange for some promotion.
With the speakers and the influencers, I’m really trying to have a good foundation because the purpose of the event is that people are joining a community of women business owners who are at that same level of business and they join that community for support and inspiration, helping them get to that next level. Having an amazing foundation of speakers, as well as a couple of influencers who are already there, just helps raise the level of attendees who are going to be able to really get the most out of the experience.
I also have created an amazing welcome gift. That way, the attendees get it, get excited about the event, as well as hopefully share it with other people who they think would be there as well.
Overall, it was a great experience. I still have some to-dos that I haven’t started on based on all the wonderful feedback I got from the mastermind.
If you’re interested in learning about the event, Branch Out Austin, you can go to BranchOut.events. I should also say that I’m partnering with Sara, who’s going to be doing the mastermind portion of the event because we are breaking everyone into mastermind groups to meet throughout the four days. I’m really excited about that.
Thank you again, Sara. Thank you again, mastermind group. It was such a wonderful experience. I feel so grateful to be a part of it.”
