ON THIS EPISODE’S MASTERMIND HOT SEAT: KATIE WOOD

ABOUT KATIE: Katie Wood is a visibility coach and brand strategist who works with motivated people who are ready to take the next step in doing work they love but are unclear about how to market themselves online. She helps clients get clear on their message, overhaul their websites, improve their materials, and get past their fears so they can create a brand they’re proud of and sell their work with ease. With years of experience in growing startups, as well as freelancing for big corporations, Katie loves to give small businesses the makeover they need to thrive.

KATIE’S MASTERMIND HOT SEAT TOPIC: How do I create strong messages for two different audiences without causing confusion?

IT’S IMPORTANT TO KATIE BECAUSE: I want my marketing to resonate with ideal clients and yet, I’m speaking to clients at different places in their business journey. I know that if I cause confusion, I’ll turn people off from working with me entirely.

HERE’S WHAT KATIE HAD TO SAY ABOUT THE MASTERMIND EXPERIENCE + PROGRESS SINCE BEING IN THE HOT SEAT:

Hi, I’m Katie Wood with Crowheart Creative. I’m a marketing coach and brand strategist who works with people who love what they do but they really dread marketing themselves.

I really love my work, and I was so honored to be on the hot seat a couple of weeks ago. I think that what I’d love to share is just that I was pretty skeptical going into it. I didn’t really know how people who didn’t know much about me or about my business could help me in a short period of time.

I’ve found the call super rewarding, really insightful, and really energizing. The folks who showed up just brought such a strong presence, lots of good questions, and I felt by the end of it that I was just on fire. I was like, “Okay, I’ve got to get on this. This is going to be so fun!”

I think that when you’re running a small business by yourself, there’s so much that goes on in your head and you’re just kind of chewing on questions by yourself a lot. It just felt so good to be able to share these questions with other people and get their insights, encouragement, and feedback. I felt like I got a ton of clarity.

My main goal is to update my website to reflect what I talked about in my Mastermind and I have done all the copy on the backend. I haven’t actually uploaded to my website yet, but that is in the works. I’m pretty excited about that!

You can find me at CrowheartCreative.com or Facebook and Instagram. I have some pretty cool freebies and giveaway stuff on my blog. If you want to join me over there, I would, of course, love new folks. Thanks so much to the Kickass team for kicking ass and having me on. I really appreciated it.
