Did you know that scaling your business is different than growing your business?

SCALING your business means increasing revenues without incurring significant cost increases.

GROWING your business means increasing revenues, but increased expenses are required to do so.

Here’s some examples:

Amazon is able to scale because it can add customers and revenue and the operating costs will only increase a small amount. Why? Because it harnesses technology to serve a higher number of and those tools don’t require commensurate expenses.

However, in order for a communications agency to serve more clients and bring in more revenue, it needs to hire more people to get the work done – which is a significant increase in expenses.

This difference matters. Especially to the bottom line. Ca-ching!

We talked about scaling a business in episode 74 of The Mastermind Podcast with Lauren Caselli in the hot seat.

She asked: “How Do I Shift My Offerings and Marketing to be More Scaleable?”

What you’ll learn when you listen:

1. How to look at your business to determine if you can scale or not

2. What questions to ask yourself about scaling or growing

3. How to get started with scaling your business
